THE BASICS: Knife Skills and Kitchen Basics
In this class you will learn knife skills & classic cutting techniques. The class will learn about mise en place (everything in it's place) and the importance of being organized and prepared. Explore the world of classical knife cuts: julienne, dicing, chopping and slicing. You will also learn all about the Pantry and how important it is to stock it properly.
If you sign up for the entire series you will learn to cook with a recipe and cooking with judgment. You will learn the difference between seasoning and flavoring and using spices, herbs and flavoring ingredients to enhance the flavors of foods, plus, you will build your knowledge in the correct methods of dry-heat cooking with fats (sautéing, pan frying, and stir-fry). You will learn reductions, deglazing, coatings, and different oils and fats.**Menu subject to change

If you cannot attend class, call us at 702-562-3900 at least 48-HOURS BEFORE the class and we will give you credit towards a future class or a refund. If you cancel after the 48-hour time frame or miss a class, NO REFUNDS or CREDIT will be given. If you are unable to attend class, you may send someone in your place. Creative Cooking School reserves the right to cancel classes. Class offerings depend on minimum enrollment. In this event, we will notify you and provide a refund or we will give you credit towards a future class. You will have 1 YEAR ONLY to use any credit from a cancelled class.
