Chef Salvatore Scaturro

BIOGRAPHY

From the age of eight years old Chef Sal started to get interested in the field of cooking. On holidays and Sunday he would watch his mother and grandmother cook for a house full of people. During high school Chef Sal attended Freeport High School for Vocational Cooking Classes and received a scholarship for the Culinary Institute of America in New Haven, CT and graduated in June 1970. From there he worked under European chefs for five years before he moved on to work for prestigious country clubs, hotels, and restaurants. Along the way, Chef Sal opened two restaurants of his own. In 2001, he moved to Las Vegas and started working for one of the top Italian Restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip. Chef Sal lives by his motto- "Remember Cooking Comes From The Heart!"
