Winning Chef's Of Las Vegas

Catherine Margles is the author of the book, Winning Chefs Of Las Vegas, is a tribute to the exploding culinary experience in Las Vegas.  Today Las Vegas is the culinary Mecca of the United States.  In Las Vegas, though, it’s easier to play than to win.  The real winners are the customers who care about food.

The average visitor to Las Vegas spends just four days and three nights in the city, and many of the best restaurants are open only for dinner, so it’s not easy to make the most of your dining dollars.  This book is intended to be a marketing piece for the Chefs of Las Vegas and their restaurants.  I intend to write about the history of each cuisine, the background of the foods employed and how a dish is prepared and why.  Chefs never seem to get enough praise.  I want the customer to know that each individual Chef and his/her restaurant convey it’s own special message or theme.  There is no book in existence that currently puts together a collection of many different Las Vegas Chefs with their signature recipes and restaurants.

 Winning Chefs include,

  • David Robins - Spago

  • Jean Joho - Eiffel Tower Restaurant

  • Tommy Birdwell - Coyote Café

  • Alessandro Stratta - Renoir

  • Gabino Sotelino - Mon Ami Gabi

  • Michael Jordan - Rosemary’s Restaurant

  • John Cahil - Olio

  • Rick Giffen - China Grill

  • John Botkin - McCormick & Schmidtt’s

  • Paul Marshall - Red Square

  • Fred Bielak - Michael’s

And the list goes on.

The Las Vegas area is the fastest growing city in the United States with a population increase of over 85% in the last ten years.   Ambitious new restaurants have been opening at an extraordinary pace in a city once famous for cheap steak dinners and all-you-can-eat buffets.  Las Vegas is not only the entertainment capital of the world but also now the restaurant capital of the world.
